All horses must have a certificate of veterinary inspection for VS dated 5 days or less from the move in for Medal Finals. This MUST have the horse's SHOW NAME!

All horses will be hand inspected by staff prior to entering the stable area. IF YOU MOVE A HORSE INTO A STALL WITHOUT THIS INSPECTION, YOU WILL BE ORDERED TO LEAVE THE GROUNDS WITH ALL OF YOUR HORSES. Your Medal Finals ends right there.

Move in hours are as follows:

Tuesday 1:00 pm - 8 pm
Wednesday 7:00 am - 2:00 pm
Thursday 7:00 am - 2:00 pm

That is it folks. Make your plans according to this schedule. If there is an emergency and you just can not make these hours, you may call Val Williams or Carole Kenney and IF arrangements can be made to accommodate you, we will. This is not guaranteed!

Because of the strictness of the hours and protocol, there will be no day trailering allowed. All horses must stable.

We realize that this adds expense and trouble to your show experience but we need to make it safe for everyone and this protocol has been tested and is our best option.
Thank you,
Medal Finals staff

PLEASE READ THE ATTACHED HORSE ENTRY PROTOCOL!! Important information!!

Due to the ongoing Vesicular Stomatitis outbreak and after consultation with veterinarians and input from Colorado area professionals, LEG will be cancelling one of our two scheduled September horse shows.  We are cancelling the earlier date, the Colorado Springs Fall Preview(#255920) - September 4-7, 2014.

The cancellation is prompted by the realization that entries will most certainly be much lighter than expected due to the nervousness on the part of many owners.  Consolidating into one week will help us to create a better show for all concerned by allowing more divisions to fill and the 'all important' end of the year points to count.

We feel very confident that following the precautionary measures and key protocols recommended by the Colorado State Veterinarian: aggressive fly control, regular and prompt manure removal, physical inspections by qualified personnel of horses prior to unloading from trailers, and that all horses must have health certificates issued  between 2 and 5 days prior to arrival on the show grounds, we can provide a safe environment to hold the Co Springs Fall Classic horse show the following week.

For current information on the status of the outbreak please go to the Colorado Dept of Agriculture Facebook page.

Thanks, and please let me know if you need anything further.
