Jody Marken

Jody has been immersed in the world of horses from childhood, gaining experience as both an amateur and a professional. As the owner and operator of Two Spruce Farm in Berthoud, Colorado, she offers lessons in horsemanship and basic jumping, helping countless riders safely enter and grow within the equestrian community.

A lifelong student of the horse, Jody is always eager to explore new and effective ways to communicate with horses. Her popular obstacle clinics focus on building trust and enhancing communication between horse and rider. These clinics encourage participants to think creatively, approach challenges with an open mind, and expand their "toolbox" of techniques to better understand their horses' responses to new situations.

In addition to her teaching, Jody is a licensed USEF “r” judge for hunters and hunt seat equitation. She believes that experiencing a show from a judge’s perspective offers invaluable insight for riders looking to improve their skills in the ring.

With her background as a physical therapist, Jody also brings a deep understanding of anatomy and movement to her instruction. This unique blend of expertise allows her to help both horse and rider achieve better balance, alignment, and performance.
