The Colorado Hunter Jumper Foundation is pleased to announce that several scholarships will be available for 2019. These Scholarships are funded in part by donations from the Colorado Hunter Jumper Association and in part by the generosity of CHJA members, family, and friends who participated in the Silent Auction at the Awards Banquet. Special appreciation goes to Sarah Watson who coordinated the 2019 auction, and her team of volunteers who made it possible.

Several years of work on the part of the CHJA Strategic Planning Committee became a reality with the adoption of a package of Bylaws and Rule Changes which will create the CHJA Outreach Program. Juniors and adults can join CHJA as an Outreach Member. Outreach Members will receive an email subscription to the CHJA Newletter and will be eligible to compete in the Outreach Year End Program. The fee for Outreach Membership will be $35.00 per year for 2019.

Several Bylaws and Rule Changes were passed by the Board of Directors at their October meeting. An amendment to the Bylaws will streamline the process for making rule changes which are required to be in compliance with USEF/USHJA/Zone 8 Specs. Those changes can now be recommended by the Rules and Specs Committee and approved by the Board without going through the normal rule change process.

The Colorado Hunter Jumper Foundation has awarded its annual scholarships to four very deserving members including Olivia Barden, Claire Aden, Rachel Benson and Lexie Karet.

Olivia will be attending Colorado State University this coming fall with the intention of majoring in Business or History with a minor in Chinese. She earned the $500 Spirit of Excellence Scholarship in honor of Grace McReynolds, the $500 Spirit of Excellence Scholarship in honor of Gianna Lantieri and a $1,000 Category A Scholarship from the Colorado Hunter Jumper Foundation.
