The Sorrento Memorial Amateur Rider Grant provides financial support to amateur members of the Colorado Hunter Jumper Association (CHJA) to attend a CHJA-sponsored hunter-jumper competition or educational event.
Established in 2026 by Jeff and Jennifer Edgell in memory of their beloved horse, Sorrento, the grant honors the joy, partnership and learning that horses bring to riders throughout their equestrian journey.
The program is administered by the Colorado Hunter Jumper Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to supporting riders and the sport in Colorado.
Each year, two grants of up to $500 will be awarded to qualified applicants. Grant recipients will pay their own expenses and submit receipts for reimbursement.
