 IT'S AWARD TIME!

2017 Medal Final Championships

It's that time of year again! Year-End Awards are now posted on the CHJA website here. Please note that these standings are not final until Dec. 7. If you have any questions, please email Kirsten Turner at membersupport@chja.org .

Once you have sorted out your awards situation, you need to register for the Awards Banquet on Sat., Jan. 6, 2018 at the Radisson Denver, 3155 S Vaughn Way, Aurora, Colo. 80014. Your $52.00 ticket gives you complete access to the delicious hors d'oeuvres and dinner buffet during an extended cocktail hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. The call to tables will be at 7:45 p.m. Dessert will be served at the tables and award presentations will start at 8:00 p.m. RSVP today by clicking here. The deadline to register is Dec. 22, 2018.

Have some cool pics from this year's show season? You can submit up to five photos for the Banquet slide show. These must sent in by Dec. 29, 2017 in order to be considered for inclusion. There will be no exceptions!

Speaking of pictures, our Member Support Manager Kirsten Turner will again be gathering photos of division champions for publication in The Chronicle of the Horse. ALL of the following must be included with photo submissions: name of the Association, horse's name, rider's name, owner's name and photographer's name (even if he or she isn't a professional photographer). You also will need a signed release from the photographer. Photos should be color prints or digital color photos on flash drives or CDs. Emailed photos will not be accepted. The deadline is Jan. 1, 2018 so do not delay!

And yes, we still will have our ever-popular Silent Auction to benefit the Colorado Hunter Jumper Foundation. If you have an item - horse-related or not - to donate, please contact Franci Martin at mtngirl09@gmail.com.

Finally, don't forget to get those perpetual trophies back to Carol O'Meara as soon as possible. She will accept them at the Banquet if that is the easiest for you.

We hope to see you at the Annual Awards and Recognition Banquet on Jan. 6!
